In 2016 the Lord spoke to me that Pearls would be going to Israel, two years later in Sept 2018, 34 Pearls o nga hau e wha (from the four winds) o Aotearoa boarded the plane aand fulfilled the call of Pearls to go to Israel.  Our mission was simple, “Whenua to Whenua – Mauri to Mauri”.

Our Roopu – 90% Kaumatua (elders). When I enquired of the Lord why so many old people,I felt the Holy Spirit quietly say “that I was going with the Forerunners of the Gospel – those who have paved the way in their tears and in their prayers for not only our nation, but for both our nations”.

Israel was certainly a life changing experience.  There were so  many God moments along the way, and from the time we landed, we hit the ground running.

Here is a summary of our visit to God’s Holy place.  We went to the Red Sea, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee and the River Jordan.  We went to Jerusalem, Shiloh, Eilat, Tiberius, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Mt Carmel, Mt of Olives, Mt Beatitudes, Mt Zion.  We went to Samaria, Jaffa, Caesarea, Capernaum, Jordan, Petra, Garden Tomb, The Upper Room, The Tabernacle, the pool of Siloam, the friends of Zion, the Garden of Gethsemane, the path of the Palm Sunday, the Way of the Cross, the Garden Tomb, Genesis Land, the Knesset, the Wailing Wall, the Western Wall Tunnel, Hezekiah’s tunnel, the Canaanite tunnel, King Solomon’s copper mines, Timna Reserve, the fortified fortress Herod of Masada, the Holocaust Museum, the Negev desert, the Northern Most end of Israel to the Misgav Am Kibbutz – where we sang and prayed and prophesied over Lebanon, Syria and Israel.  We went into a desert Oasis of Ein Gedi to David’s falls. We sailed Daniel’s Faith boat and sang and danced on the Sea of Galilee.  We went through the Lions Gate, the Jaffa Gate, the Dung Gate and prophesied, prayed and flagged in front of the Golden Gate.  We went to David’s city, the Old City and went to the Jewish Quarter, the Armenian Quarter and through the Arab Quarter.  We prophesied, prayed, Karanga and sang over the Megiddo Valley and the Kedron Valley and over the Hills of Moab.  We prayed and danced at Kehilat Mt Carmel, Elohim House of Prayer and Succat Hallel and the Feast of Tabernacles.  We rode Carmels, we rode horses, we rode buses and some of us rode a horse and cart.

We joined the nations at the Feast of Tabernacles and marched behind the IDF through the streets of Jerusalem with our Tinorangatiratanga and He Whakaputanga flags flying high leading out the christian sections.

We rose at 5.30am every morning, united in prayer that God would lead us through the different rooms of His whare (house) and that He did.  We got baptised in the River Jordan and we sang and Hongi countless people in strategic locations all over Israel.

It was one big adventure from the time we landed to the time we left.   Israel is rich in history, rich in whakapapa and rich in culture.  We are so much richer for the experience.  Israel is undeniably Jewish land- Jews are the ahi kaa -they have a treasure trove of their Tupuna’s stories and their ancient urupa(burial grounds) and everywhere you go – their unique Jewish roots and footprints are all over their whenua (land).  We learnt so much of their history and we saw the Bible come alive as we tramped the land.

There were so many  God moments – and we have only skimmed the surface to the depths of this amazing land.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Judy Marshall from Crown of Olives who diligently and prayerfully put our tour together, to Inge, our dutch tour guide, to Michal and Jasmine from Jaffa Tours.  Many hands knitted together for one common purpose – to connect us – “Whenua to Whenua – Mauri to Mauri”.

Bless you all – but most importantly – Bless Israel – From Aotearoa, the Land of the Long White Cloud, to Israel – We stand with You – You are not alone!
